KENNEDY AGYAPONG RECOVERS FROM DEADLY CORONA VIRUS
21 July 2020
The MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong says he tested positive for Covid-19 after his 60th birthday celebration on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.
Narrating his near-death experience to Adom News’ Alfred Amoh, the outspoken MP said he lost weight drastically and had to self-isolate for weeks.
“It was after my 60th birthday party which I resisted so much and it exposed me to people who had already tested positive.
“I dined with them and even for some people, they did not even have their nose masks on while others had theirs down the chin,” he said.
“For over two weeks I was in quarantine; my nose was blocked and my bed was as if water had been poured on it coupled with a fever and within five days, I had lost weight drastically,” he recounted.
Mr. Agyapong in a video that was circulating on social media, was seen seated around a table with his family and friends in a hearty chat during his birthday celebration.
His party was crowned with a toast proposed by former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Maritime Authority, Kwame Owusu who got the crowd laughing and applauding.
The video got many social media users talking as most observers expressed worry over the total disregard for the social distancing protocols.
While some of the guests at the party, did not have face masks on, other who did had it placed under their chin instead of over the nose and mouth.
But cautioning Ghanaians of the dangers of this act, the business mogul said the virus is real hence all laid down protocols to curb it must be strictly adhered to.
He then said the virus is real and that Ghanaians should strictly observer all the Protocols.” I have recovered now and not shy to talk about it because I am a testimony but the disease is so real and we dont have to joke with it” Mr Agyapong added.

THREE GBC CHANNELS MUST SHUT DOWN NOW FROM THE DDT PLATFORM
Ministry Of Communication Has Ordered GBC To Cut Down Number Of Channels To Three In 2 Months
But speaking to the media the communications minister explained she is well within her rights to take the decision aimed at freeing up space and reducing for maintenance of the DTT platform.
According to her, the NMC cannot compel the ministry to take back the directive.
“The fact still remains that the sole multi channel through which broadcasting can be transmitted in this country for now is full to capacity, there is absolutely no redundancy on it, for us as a country it is dangerous to be in this situation.
“Pending the acquisition of an additional multiplex which will provide for more capacity on that and it has absolutely nothing to do with spectrum…it is the multiplex which has capacity challenges and not spectrum and until such time as we acquire an additional multiplex to provide channels for broadcasting in this country, we have no other means of doing so and so a responsible ministry in a responsible government has take the only means available to it at this time to sit with those who have excess capacity on that multiplex to cede some of it for the security of our own state.”

Hushpuppi denied bail in US as he continues to pay $10,000 monthly rent in Dubai
Sellout Magazine

Embattled Instagram celebrity, Hushpuppi, has been denied bail by a Federal Migrate Court in the US according to a report by InstaBlog9ja.
The 37-year-old appeared by video in a Chicago court on Thursday, where his lawyer, Gal Pissetzky, applied for him to leave jail with an electronic tag and live with his baby mama’s uncle.
Mr Pissetzky said his client’s job as an Instagram influencer paid for the $10,000 monthly rent on his luxury Dubai flat. Adding that, he had too much to lose to flee the country.
“He is loved and respected. He is a celebrity. I don’t see the reason why he would want to ruin his credibility in the world and his status rather than stay here and face this allegation.
Anywhere he goes, people will know. Having grown up very poor in Nigeria, Mr Abbas is now paid to pose with high-priced items such as Louis Vuitton bags that people would buy after seeing his posts on Instagram.
He is an influencer. That’s a job today, as much as it is hard to imagine. That’s a full-time job,” Mr Pissetzky told a judge in Chicago by videolink.
Judge Jeffrey Gilbert denied the bail application stressing that he was satisfied that Mr Abbas was a flight risk and he would remain in custody until he was taken to a court in California.
“You’ve got to be doing something to pay $10,000 for an apartment in Dubai,” he said.
