Legalize marijuana not homosexuality – Kwaw Kesse to Akufo-Addo

Ghanaian rapper, Emmanuel Botchwey, popularly known as Kwaw Kesse has strongly kicked against the possible legalization of homosexuality in the country.

Earlier in an interview with Aljazeera, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo indicated that homosexuality isn’t a pressing issue in the country hence the reason it hasn’t been legalized yet.

According to him, if pressure groups and activists continue to ‘disturb’ the peace then, it may be bound to happen in the future.

“I grew up in England; I went to school as a young boy in England and I grew up at a time in England when homosexuality was banned there, it was illegal and I lived in the period when British politicians thought it was anathema to think about changing the law and suddenly the activities of individuals, of groups, a certain awareness, a certain development grew and grew and grew stronger and it forced a change in law. I believe those are the same processes that will bring about changes in our situation.”

The president, however, pointed out that: “At the moment, I don’t feel and I don’t see that in Ghana, there is that strong current of opinion that will say: ‘This is something that we need even deal with’. It’s not, so far, a matter which is on the agenda.”

But Kwaw Kesse on his Twitter account wondered why President Akufo-Addo wont lead a campaign for the legalization of marijuana in Ghana and rather said homosexuality is bound to happen.

Nonetheless, Abodam added that homosexuality shouldn’t be entertained in the country.

“It’s a moral wrong for a man to sleep with a fellow man. Even animals don’t do such. Have they finished legalizing marijuana…?” he queried.

However, some of the Ghanaian musicians such as Yaa Pono and Wanlov also disclosed their views on the homosexuality issues.

GHC20,000 FOR WHISTLE BLOWERS SAYS GFA AMIDST BRIBBERY

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi has announced a whooping GHC20,000 prize package would be given to any individual who brings up concrete evidence to curb bribery and corruption in Ghana football.
There's been several allegations against referees and club officials indulging in bribery to alter the outcome of games. However at a 3-day stakeholders meeting, the GFA boss stated the amount would be given to persons with evidence against referees and club officials.
What will also be good news to many, especially media organisations, is the FA’s strong stance on punishing clubs who prevent coverage of their league matches.
According to the FA President, going forward from next season, teams who engage in such acts will forfeit their points.
The GFA president also noted that the FA is working assiduously to find a sponsor for the Ghana Premier League before the start of next season.

I was sold into slavery by fellow Ghanaian in Libya – Migrant

One of the Libyan migrants who arrived home Wednesday night has told Starr News that he was sold by a fellow Ghanaian in the Northern African country.

About one hundred and twenty-seven (127) Ghanaian migrants returned from Libya with one in a critical condition.

The migrants were brought in by two flights, Air Libya and Afrikia Airways after they were rescued from detention centres in Libya following reports of slave trade of migrants in the country.

Speaking to Starr News’ Eric Mawuena Egbeta who monitored at the Kotoka International airport as the flights touch base, the visibly distressed returnee said the experience is so harrowing he would not want to imagine again.

“What I found myself in Libya, I wouldn’t wish for even my worst enemy, we were sold like bread by our own fellow Ghanaians. And it was a very disheartening experience. We went through the desert and some of us disappeared without a trace and others were shot and killed, luckily for some of us, we were able to escape and were arrested and brought to the deportation centre”.

The footage of men being auctioned off as slaves in Libya has been met with outrage and the UN Secretary-General has called on the international community to “unite in fighting this scourge”.

The horrible images show some migrants being sold for $400 while others are tortured to death by individuals in Libyan military wears.

In the grainy mobile footage, unidentified men are offered up as a group of “big strong boys for farm work”.

The film was obtained by CNN journalists, who later witnessed another sale of a dozen men in a courtyard outside the country’s capital, Tripoli.

Meanwhile, speaking in an exclusive interview with Starr News’ Atiewin Mbillah-Lawson Wednesday, Mr. Koni Mustafa said the Libyan authorities will investigate and punish whoever is involved in the human trade.

“Our government has started investigations into the issue, the credibility of these reports and those behind it, those involved so that they will be prosecuted and they will be punished accordingly. The media reportage and the exaggerations thereafter are not needed,” he noted.

He continued: “We have always said that Libya is an African country, Libyans are not racists, Libya is Africa and Libyans are Africans. Why is it that the media is always narrowing its scope. For instance, there are thousands of people who are currently working in Libya, who are gainfully employed in Libya working in dignity without any form of harassment but the media is not reporting that”.

“Ghanaians Would Soon Get Used To Me Showing My Body Parts Because I Won’t Stop It Today Or Tomorrow-Ebony Fires Back At Critics

If you are thinking Ebony would stop dressing indecently because of the harsh criticisms, you throw at her then you thought wrong! The ‘Sponsor’ hitmaker has made up her mind already that, she’s not going to stop using her sexuality to sell her music.
According to Ebony she’s not bothered at all about what Ghanaians think of her dressing each time she hits on the stage to perform. Just recently, pictures of her ‘camel toe’ showing leaked on the internet when she performed erotically at the 2017 4syte Music Video Awards.
“I won’t stop displaying my body part. Ghanaians will get used to me. That’s the point of being a trendsetter.” –She told HitzFm in an interview.

“I’ve been getting negative comments from people with regards to my public appearance. I’ve been criticized since I was growing up so I’ve never been bothered about criticisms. Bullet tried to tone it down. Sometimes, there’s an outfit I want to wear to a show and he will be like ‘No Ebony, Ghana is not ready for this’.”
From what She’s saying, it’s obvious the girl is not ready to change her dressing, even when Gospel Musician, Celestine Donkor adviced her to change her dressing style.
What do you guys think? Should she change or ignore the criticisms? Share your thoughts with us in comments.

Releasing songs is the easiest thing for Shatta Wale. The dancehall artiste has proven that he’s indeed really talented and is able to effortlessly drop songs as much as he wants.
Just when we thought he won’t be able to break the record he set last year by dropping 107 songs in 2016, the dancehall king has reached another milestone in music by dropping 108 songs so far in 2017 and the year has not even ended yet.
One of his loyal fans, Bensiah Saviour who keeps records of every single song released by Shatta Wale shared the full list and Shatta Wale posted it as well.
We went through the list and realized that indeed, all of those songs were released in 2017. Some of them became big hits and are still hits in 2017. There are some that are just diss songs.
We still play his hit songs like ‘Forgetti, Dangote, Ayoo, Low Tempo, You Chop,  Ayoo, Umbrella, SayFi Mayaatra ft Pope Skinny, Comfortable Lead, Taking Over, Dem Confuse, Real Monster, Fool Is Last To Know and several others.
We know the year has not ended yet and Shatta Wale would be dropping more songs.
We predict that Shatta Wale would drop 10 more songs before the year even ends.
